About

We are a group of Sixth Form students who are passionate about gender equality. As such, we are fortunate enough to be representing the NAWO Young Women's Alliance this year at the 60th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW60) in New York from the 11th - 19th March 2016.

We share a common desire to add our voices to the conversation concerning the progression of equality between women and men, especially in the light of this year's key theme at CSW60 - Women's empowerment and its link to sustainable development.

We created this blog with a view to inform you about who we are and what we are up to, but also share our experiences before, during and after the CSW60. We will also use this page as a forum to raise awareness of issues, largely relating to gender equality, which we care about.

At CSW60 our role will be presenting our own speeches and sharing our (many!) opinions and questions, as well as listening to and contributing to others' and the global discussion. We are also acting as rapporteurs and photographers at other events at CSW60, and would be more than happy to report on any of the events that we attend!

Please use this blog as a free resource as we are keen to learn as much as possible and experience this event to the full. Contact us on nawoywadelegates2016@gmail.com.
